Life Balance Comes Naturally


With School starting this month, what a good time to get into new routines and make sure you have a balanced schedule, a balanced day, and a balanced life. In the book "I Can Achieve Life Balance Naturally", by Denise Scofield & Sherilee, life balance takes a natural approach. If you imagine a tree with 5 branches, each branch of the tree is an importanct area of your life such as Physical, Spiritual, Emotional, Temporal & Financial. Each branch of the tree has bloosoms on it that represent a good habit in that area. For example the branch of Physical would have the blossom or habit of parking at the back of the parking lot so you get some extra walking in your day. Each week day is assigned a branch for example Sunday=Spiritual, Monday=Temporal, Tuesday=Physical, Wednesday=Emotional, and Thursday=Financial. Then on Friday is "My Day" do anything that helps you slow down, replenish & relax. Saturday is the trunk of the tree for preparing for the next week & doing projects that support the whole tree. If you spend 5-10 minutes a day doing a habit from one of the branches you will end up with a balanced week & a balanced life NATURALLY!!
